Ponds are a habitat which has been drastically reduced in recent years, with the draining of more and more farmland, the removal of many village green ponds, and the development of greenfield sites for housing.
The allotments already has an impressive number of ponds but by increasing the number of ponds on site we can help to build a wildlife haven at St Margaret’s.
